MPUTNU Teas and Natural Products

The high quality and innovative packaging of ASNAPP MPUNTU teas attracted the FOOD and WINE Magazine (January 2007 issue) to reccomend MPUNTU products as 'one of the 100 best new flavors and tastes to try in 2007'.

ASNAPP also introduced MPUNTU teas and spices to several US private companies who have shown keen interest in purchase or distribution. Rutgers and ASNAPP are continuing to work towards the development of additional products for the MPUNTU lines for other local, regional, and international markets. Spices including Mondia, Xylopia, Ginger, Aframomum (Birds of Paradise), Paprika, and Chili peppers (Bird's Eye) were added to the development agenda along with additional teas including hibiscus.

Rutgers University in conjunction with ASNAPP USA now offers an on-line system for direct to consumer online sales of MPUTNU teasa nd products. Packaged MPUNTU teas are now being sold in the ASNAPP USA online store. The online store is in full support and in concert with the African ASNAPP communities, all profits from store generated sales are routed back into the communities that supplied the materials.
