First Quarter

Progress was made on sales as an agreement was made with a local retailer who will sell geranium oil in a florist shop in Kigali. Forty four kgs of oil were prepared for export and will be sent in January to South Africa.

The Ministry of Agriculture provided funded for $113,423 US to purchase additional  250,000 plantlets from South Africa.

Second Quarter

During this quarter, new contacts were made with essential oil buyers at BioFach Fair in Nurnberg in Germany and at the Natural Product EXPO WEST in California, USA. More than 10 buyers expressed serious interest to buy Rwandan organic geranium oil. One company was interested in buying geranium hydrosol. Samples have already been sent  to 3 buyers in USA, Kenya and France.
