First and Second Quarter

One key event that increased visibility of the company and the essential oils industry in Rwanda was the hosting of a successful workshop on “Making Quality Matter in Essential Oils”, held in Kigali in October. More than 40 people from USA, Senegal, South Africa, Uganda and Rwanda attended the 3 day workshop. During the quarter, 200 farmers were regularly trained on geranium production.

Ikirezi continues to train farmers members of cooperatives that are growing geranium. This quarter about 300 farmers were trained on geranium production and harvesting.
