Quality Control and Quality Assurance 2008
First Quarter
In January 2007 a quality control lab that was set to conduct QA/QC analysis within Ghana. The laboratory remains operational and ASNAPP Senegal staff will be conducting the quality control analysis of the samples that were harvested this year.
Second Quarter
Purchasing missions have shown 2007/08 hibiscus crop to be of excellent quality, demonstrating that partner producers employed ASNAPP/SEN’s recommended GAP and GHM. Buying missions have accepted or rejected products based on their meeting strict quality requirements. Rigorous testing procedures have been employed to samples from each producer to assure high quality products free from contaminants.
During January ASNAPP conducted field assessments of organic producers scheduled for re-inspection to insure their compliance with organic standards and the consistent quality of their product.
